Offered is a lovely antique silk iron from China
It is from the late 1800s thru 1920
The silk iron is brass and decorated on the top and handle with enamels
The bottom is marked 'CHINA'
It has an orange glass pull
The piece is decorated with a scene of lotus blossoms, leaves and other flowers
In the center is an insect and on the handle are 5 figures - 2 woman and 3 small children
Note that there is missing enamel - a large piece at the front of the lid, and many dark spots as well as cracking from age
The orange glass pull is loose
